Not just any Om

by Radio Somewhere

After boarding a Metro bus one day, I was surprised when the driver summoned me up front rather insistently. I had swiped my pass in the machine, and the beep confirmed it was valid. But it was my pendant he wanted to examine — as he was Indian.

I’ve had this pendant for around fifteen years, and it gets admired often. But the best bit is turning it around to show the figure on the back — although not everyone immediately recognizes it as Krishna.

I would not assume it to be unique — but I have yet to come across another! I wear it at times of my life when I feel I am being presented with a new challenge — to remind me there is nothing to fear — which is why I am wearing it today.
