Something special in the light

by Radio Somewhere

These objects have been sitting on a shelf in my living room for years. But this morning, the light caught them in such a pleasing way that I was compelled to take a picture.

The building is a representation of the Old Stone Church in West Boylston, MA. My husband bought it from an artist he got chatting with in a bar in Worcester. He chose this one for me because there’s a black cat perched on a ledge!

The little elephant is actually a salt shaker — and there’s quite a story from Christmas 2011 (my last in retail) about how he ended up at home with me!

The little air plant is probably dead — but is mounted on a gorgeous piece of schist. I bought it at the Alki Arts Fair in 2010 as a birthday present to myself.

And, Kokopelli hopefully needs no introduction.

I thought they looked rather cute together — and the light was something special.
