Is it November yet?

by Radio Somewhere

I’m reading through the novel I write for NaNoWriMo last November. I’ve revised it once since, and I’m going to rework a couple of chapters a little more. Then I’m going to put it aside until my finances permit me to work with a professional editor. I will probably self-publish — but would like it to be as good as possible before I do so.

It’s amazing how much of it I’ve forgotten writing already. It sometimes seems like I’m reading something written by someone else — and I like it. That was such a fun month of writing: all those dark mornings and evenings before and after work. I can’t wait to feel that way again.

I have the idea for the next novel and am enjoying hatching ideas for the outline that I will start on once the present project is brought to a resting place.

I’m looking forward to doing NaNoWriMo again this November — my favorite time of year. Cool, rainy weather and long, dark evenings. Pumpkin spice lattes in the coffee shops.

Perfect for writing.
